# Cobbler 简介
Cobbler可以选择帮助管理DHCP，DNS和yum软件包镜像基础结构–在这方面，它是一种更通用的自动化应用程序，而不仅仅是专门处理安装。 还有一个轻量级的内置配置管理系统，以及与Puppet等配置管理系统集成的支持。 Cobbler有一个命令行界面，一个Web界面以及几个API访问选项。 听起来很多，但实际上非常简单。

- 修改 Cobbler 的配置文件
/etc/cobbler/settings, 选项和功能非常多, 但实际环境用到的并不多.
主要修改内容有:

如果在settings配置文件中开启了manage_dhcp的话, 需要修改 DHCP 的模板文件, 即/etc/cobbler/dhcp.template

如果不想让 Cobbler 管理 DHCP 的话, 可以直接编辑/etc/dhcp/dhcpd.conf文件也可以.

- 启动相关服务:
systemctl start httpd rsyncd tftp cobblerd

- 使用
cobbler check命令来检查配置文件等相关信息
The following are potential configuration items that you may want to fix:
1 : change 'disable' to 'no' in /etc/xinetd.d/tftp
2 : Some network boot-loaders are missing from /var/lib/cobbler/loaders, you may run 'cobbler get-loaders' to download them, or, if you only want to handle x86/x86_64 netbooting, you may ensure that you have installed a *recent* version of the syslinux package installed and can ignore this message entirely. Files in this directory, should you want to support all architectures, should include pxelinux.0, menu.c32, elilo.efi, and yaboot. The 'cobbler get-loaders' command is the easiest way to resolve these requirements.
3 : enable and start rsyncd.service with systemctl
4 : debmirror package is not installed, it will be required to manage debian deployments and repositories
5 : ksvalidator was not found, install pykickstart
6 : fencing tools were not found, and are required to use the (optional) power management features. install cman or fence-agents to use them
Restart cobblerd and then run 'cobbler sync' to apply changes.

cobbler-web 支持多种认证方式, 默认的是configfile模块认证, 这种方式的认证可以直接使用htdigest命令添加cobbler用户和密码, 其认证方式相关设置在/etc/cobbler/modules.conf

注意: Cobbler-web 默认是开启 SSL 的, 所以要通过https://YOUR_IP/cobbler-web来访问.
